SimpleMom brought back her book club this year. I really tried to do it last year! Six books seemed doable but with learning how to be a mom and all . . . well, it just didn't happen. This year there are only 4 books--one per season. This seems even more doable. So here we go again!
The first book is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families. I'm enjoying it so far. The other 3 books look good too so I hope I can keep up with it when Bonzo comes!
I've also been digging back in to The Power of a Praying Wife. This is such a wonderful resource--I feel like it gives meat to my prayers. I really believe specific prayers are important--they give me such a clear picture of God working in my life. I know that the Spirit can intercede for us when our groanings are too deep for words but I think most days that does not describe my prayers. Have you found any resources that are speaking to you right now?
For fiction, I'm reading Nicholas Sparks' The Choice. As usual, it has a beautiful story line and then the sad part hits. I'm not sure why I do this to myself--especially pregnant! It just exacerbates the sadness of the story. I'll have to finish it though, his books are compelling like that. What are you reading?
