This book was so fun! It was completely different than anything I've read in a long time. I felt it was reminiscent of the Sherlock Holmes books. This is the 3rd book in the series. I haven't read the first two but was able to read this without feeling lost. I fully intend to read the other books in the series but haven't been able to at this time. If you're looking for something different and a good old fashioned mystery, this is the book for you.

Mel Starr was born and grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating with a MA in history from Western Michigan University in 1970, he taught history in Michigan public schools for thirty-nine years, thirty-five of those in Portage, MI, where he retired in 2003 as chairman of the social studies department of Portage Northern High School.
