Kristi has tagged me, so here goes…
What I was doing 10 years ago:
I was finishing my first quarter as a Freshman at Cedarville University--although it was Cedarville College then. I was working at Chuck's with a girl who has remained a friend all these years, Emily. We were the first girls ever to have the job of washing pots and pans. I was getting excited about going home for Christmas and getting my car.
What I was doing 5 years ago:
I had just met Ralph and we had been dating roughly a month. I met his whole family at his brother's wedding rehearsal. Talk about pressure!! I was living with Amanda and working at University Hospital in Cincinnati on my first "travel" contract. It was very possibly the worst job/ 13 weeks of my life!
One year ago:
We were living in our current home. I was finishing my first year of working at the base. We had been married just over 2 years. Ralph's business went through a huge change that turned out to be very exciting and good for us!
Insane!!! I woke up at 3ish in the morning because my body thought I was just taking a nap--it's not used to sleeping through the night. On the way to the hospital for me to take my ACLS recert class, the car broke down. I realized again what a special place my unit is to work on--they sent someone to pick me up and bring me in so I didn't miss my class! Ralph got the car fixed but ended up not being able to pick me up until 3 hrs after my class ended. (It was supposed to be an all day class but we got done at noon.) Then I ran some errands. Ralph had to work last night and I fell asleep very early d/t being up at 3 a.m.
