Outdoor Fun

I feel like I need to apologize for an unintended blogging break. Third trimester is catching up with me and I feel like falling asleep every time I sit down! I'm not sure if you've noticed or not, but it's very hard to blog with your eyes closed.

We have had some beautiful days this week! I haven't really had the energy to go for a walk (and conveniently Ralph has had the stroller in the car so we couldn't!) but we did go out to play. This is so fun! Last summer she was so small I didn't know what to do with her outdoors! Now she has plenty ideas--run and get dirty! I took just a "few" pics this week to catalog our first real playtime's outdoors.
I just love this first one of Nugget and Kenya. You'd think they were best friends (in reality this is a rare moment, Buddy is the more likely dog to cuddle and tolerate her cuddles). Please ignore my nasty yard--I am not much of a caretaker when it comes to the outdoors normally and then you give me an excuse like pregnancy and even less than usual gets done!
Check out these faces! She is such an expressive child! I love it! This winter Kenya decided the table was her own dog bed and Nugget thought it would be fun to join her up there! And so the craziness of dog and kid egging each other on begins! I can only imagine the trouble this little crew will get itself into!
She.LOVES!to.RUN!!! Not really sure where she gets that from but we'll encourage it as long as it lasts. She took really good naps after both of these little running sessions. You'll have to forgive the rooster hair--she had a ponytail in she pulled out but then replaced it with oatmeal. It was a bit of a messy day. She also found the dog's pool/water bowl and had a lot of fun dumping water out of it onto herself. Good thing kids are washable and not dry clean only. Hee, hee.

Hope you have had some sun and time to enjoy it! They are saying showers this weekend so it will be back indoors for us. We will try and soak up as much of this as we can before that happens, though!

  3. Your daughter is adorable! I'm with you on the cleaning outdoors thing. There's so much I'd rather be doing inside! :) Thanks for the comment on my blog.
