When I got home tonight from work, the girls were already in bed but not asleep. I went up to give them hugs and kisses. Greer asked me to pray with her and snuggle. Then Arwen says, " Mom, the man in our song asked Jesus to light his way. Will you pray that God will light that corner and that corner and under there? Do you think He will say yes?" It was a heart melting.

Chats with Arwen
Marriage
Arwen: Mommy, I don't want to marry one of my friends.
Me: You don't?
Arwen: No.
Me: Well then who do you want to marry?
Arwen: Somebody who's already growed up.
Me: Oh? And what else?
Arwen: Somebody who doesn't already have a wife.
Me: Well, that's a very important thing.

Conversations with Arwen
| Self Portrait |
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. (I Peter 3:15, ESV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1, ESV)It is such a fun and humbling thing to see their minds opening up and to be able to discuss and teach things beyond "please" and "thank you," etc. Arwen's grasp, and ability to remember our conversations, astonishes me constantly. I forsee many "chats" about lots of different things in our futures.
